I have recorded the noise made by blowing in a glass bottle and i have added a “wahwah effect”. Then, i have recorded a sound made with my thumb and the bottleneck. I have changed the speed ant cut it. Then, i have recorded the noise made with my hand hitting the bottleneck. I have used the effect “blend in closing” and changed the height. This sound can be used as a loop. I used audacity.

Recorded 26/9 -14 in kotor, montenegro. People are talking on a courtyard and someone is exercising on a flute far away. Sometimes is a sound of wind in the microphone, but longer parts are ok. A recording of me chewing the last bit of a lozenge. First an open mouthed crunch is heard, followed by another. This transitions to closed mouth chewing noises mixed with lip smacking noises. The clip ends with a slight sound of a car driving by in the background. Recorded using a h4n zoom recorder. Sound is in stereo, and is in. Wav format. Feel free to use crunch chew as you see fit.

A live recording of a 100+ choir in rehearsal. Recorded using a matched pair of rode nt5 for the left & right with an additional akg c451 for the centre. The idea of this recording was to capture the way a choirs sound fills a room. Some minor addtional eq has been used in the 35khz range boosting by 1db to give the performance a little oompf.

Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This is one repeat of the sound taken from a larger sound i've provided in this archive (which has repeated takes). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

A big carton board was held by two people, and then shaken to produce the deep rumbling sound. Various ways of shaking and holding it, resulted in a very close thunder sound. A zoom h6 recorder, with the xy capsule was used to record it, inside of a classroom.

This recording consists of two tracks of a smarties candy wrapper (for the crackling), one track of sticky-tac being pulled apart (the popping), and one track of jeans being rubbed together for some extra sound. On this lo-fi recording, corn grains are sitting in a frying pan and begin to pop as the oil is hissing. It provides an interesting and regular popping sound suitable for mid-range frequencies. The recording is done with a tie-microphone, and extra treatment is done on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.

This is my wind entry for the competition. It's derived from some recorded voice and putting a microphone in various containers while the wind was blowing. I was able to get some interesting sounds from this, then i used some mutation effects, convolution, and phase vocoding to combine the voice and the wind sounds into this short piece.

Believe it or not, this is a recording of a hospital reception bathroom. Recorded in mono on a samsung galaxy s10+ so the quality isn't the best, but i did some eq, some processing to make it sound more stereo, and some metallic convolution reverb, but other than that this is basically the sound as i heard it.

Several sounds of small blades hitting, with unfortunate cheap reverb applied. Recorded using a cheap condenser microphone through a focusrite saffire 24 dsp.
